Garage at Millburn

The Road across from the Garage is up to Raigmore Estate and you can see the Railway Bridge at the top left with a bare Longman estate behind. Does anybody know the possible date of the photo? I take it to be around the 1960s

I knew that some of the Longman was reclaimed land, but I'd no idea it was so much.

This photo of Raigmore Service Station is from spring 1970, the photo was taken by Inverness man Mr. Tom MacDonald. Raigmore Service Station and the Highlander opposite were owned by Esso Petroleum Co.Ltd. Tom MacDonald was the tenant and proprietor of Raigmore Service Station from1958 till 1983 and the Highlander from 1978 till1983, when he retired. The photo can be dated by the pristine condition of the tar on the forecort, the Garage had just been rebuilt. Interestingto note the smoke from the Longman dump in the background.

I think this is one of the best old Inverness photos that I have seen. Does anyone have a photo of the dry ski slope that was opposite this garage.
